What's Your Fancy: Sheherazade Goldsmith Shares her Everyday Essentials

Sheherazade Goldsmith, founder of Loquet London, spotted Kate Kane, the co-founder of the Harry Kane Foundation, a mental-health charity founded in October 2022, donning one of her lockets at the World Cup. "Turns out she wore it often to games and was regularly pictured holding it," Goldsmith tells T&C. "It was filled with a bunch of talismans and personal charms, and the locket was a good luck memento to her." Shortly after, Goldsmith reached out to ask Kane to lunch, and the rest is history.

Today, the two have launched a special-edition line of jewelry with proceeds benefiting the Harry Kane Foundation. The collection features two lapidary lockets, a silk bracelet, four 18k gold charms, and four crystal charms. "This collection explores the ideas of ecology, the rights of natural phenomena, the construction of identity, ancient wisdom, and the abiding sense that certain stones possess an animating spirit that can be harnessed for personal growth," Goldsmith says. She was inspired by the way Kane spoke about the foundation and bringing an "incredible passion" and "dedication" to shaping how the world views mental health.

When it came to designing, the two were adamant about creating something with "soul and meaning." Kane had a vision to use the power of transformative gemstones. Thus, the two lockets were carved from precious gemstones (a first for Loquet); the pink opal to encourage peace and the blue chalcedony to elicit serenity.
