  • Next week is hometowns for Hannah Brown and her remaining contestants!

  • Here's what you need to know before it all goes down.

Even though it feels as though it's just begun, Hannah B's season of The Bachelorette is winding down, and Hannah and the remaining contestant are going on hometown dates next week-next week, you guys!

Obviously, getting to the hometown dates is a big deal, cause that's when the Bachelor/Bachelorette meets the remaining contestants' family and friends, so shit gets real and the tables turn: Now, the contestant's family is making sure that the Bachelor/Bachelorette is good enough/real enough/serious enough about their child, rather than the contestant, like, begging for a one-on-one date with them (lol).

And in order to mentally prepare ourselves for next week, here's everything you need to know about hometown dates:

Only four contestants get hometown dates

Just like the fantasy suite always goes down when there are three contestants left and meeting the Bachelor/Bachelorette's family is aways when there are two contestants left, Bachelor rules dictate that four contestants get hometown dates.

Hometown dates include an activity before meeting the fam

According to an interview with former Bachelorette contestant Andi Dorfman, producers ask the final four contestants to choose and activity that “means something” to them, or is simply really fun. Either way, the "couple" gets to have some one-on-one time before seeing the fam.

Contestants can't talk to their family before the date starts

Yeah, this one is crazy! Andi also spilled to Huffington Post that she "had to have a producer relay messages to her parents about the food and activities since she couldn’t speak to them directly while she was on the show." I mean-imagine not being able to talk to your family about how you wanted this NATIONALLY TELEVISED date to go down! *Shudders*

In conclusion: Get ready for the final four, people!
