  • The Voice coach Kelly Clarkson does not like to be kissed on the face.

  • She recently voiced her opinion about the greeting style on Twitter.

Kelly Clarkson has an important message for her fans: Keep your kisses to yourself!

Between turning her chair for contestants on The Voice and chatting with guests on her talk show, Kelly is always meeting new people. To prevent any immediate awkwardness, she recently revealed that she doesn't like to be kissed by strangers. Like, ever.

"Spread the word. I don’t like being kissed on my face when U meet me. Ever. Male or female. I ain’t European y'all. I didn’t grow up doing that," Kelly wrote on Twitter. "I don't like it. I don’t know where Ur mouth has been but I know where it’s not gonna end up, & that’s anywhere on my face." She ended her statement with the hashtag #MyPSAForTheDay.

People were quick to weigh in on Kelly's impromptu "PSA." Many applauded her for voicing her opinion, saying "there is nothing wrong with wanting people to have respect for personal space." Others weren't as supportive, claiming she was misrepresenting Europeans by assuming they all go in for cheek kisses.

One fan didn't agree or disagree with Kelly, but instead asked another very important question: Is she okay with hugs?

Luckily, the answer is yes.

"I love a hug! I just don’t like when people greet me with their lips on my face," Kelly replied. "Totally get that others are cool with this BUT I am not one of those people.. handshakes, cool. High-fives, cool. Fist bumps, cool. Kissing, not cool."

There you have it, folks. If you ever have the pleasure of meeting Kelly, go for the hug. Or take a page out of Adam Levine's book and blow her a kiss.
