What Celebrity Chefs Like to Drink With Thanksgiving Dinner

On Thanksgiving, one should think about the drink menu as much as they’ve thought about the dinner menu. But there’s no need to buy out the entire liquor store.

Award-winning chefs including Daniel Boulud, Bobby Flay, and Meatball Shop co-owners Daniel Holzman and Michael Chernow pick their top drinks for Thanksgiving dinner in this video for Bon Appétit.

Spend as much money on getting the best possible wine that you can afford within your price bracket, says Holzman. “I would rather have three bottles of nice wine and a handle of Wild Turkey, than six bottle of s-t wine.”

Additionally, a nice cocktail, like a cranberry martini or hot toddy, will help get the party started.

“Hot Toddies are an amazing way to start a party,” Holzman said. “It’s like festivity in a glass.”
