Simone Biles is no stranger to postexercise soreness, so she probably knows a thing or two about recovery. In an interview with Vogue, she revealed her go-to recovery system for her fiery quads, and we’re taking notes.

NormaTec boots deliver compression to the legs to combat soreness. Using pulsing, gradients, and release of pressure, the boots are essentially a portable massage therapist with a one-time fee of $1,500. “Our mission is to constantly push the envelope of how athletes perform at their best, and make sure that we have the technology to help them do so. The goal is to fundamentally change how athletes approach their overall health and recovery,” NormaTec CEO Gilad Jacobs told SportTechie.com. The system is designed for athletes to recover quickly and return to competition, whether it’s overcoming an injury or just a tough practice. Biles isn’t the only pro athlete on the NormaTec wave either. According to Jacobs, there were 350 NormaTec units in the Olympic Village. NFL and NBA players like LeBron James also use these blowup leg warmers.

While the boots are designed for the pros, they can be helpful to anybody who doesn’t want to miss a workout. Even Drake is a fan.

“I don’t think [Drake would] mind me telling you that he first used the NormaTec technology when visiting with the Dallas Mavericks NBA team and then got in touch with our team through a mutual friend who is a fellow avid NormaTec user and NBA All-Star,” said Jacobs. “He told me that the boots ‘are a lifesaver’ and changed his world the first time he was in them and that after running around on stage for 2+ hours, he gets similar soreness to what professional athletes feel after a game or hard practice,” Jacobs told Forbes. $1,500 for athletic massages whenever you want? Sounds like a good deal to us.
