The Westminster Dog Show is Back and Here's How You Can Stream It at Home

After being postponed, the one-stop-shop to all the goodest, cutest, furriest dog breeds under one roof is finally back. As America's oldest organization dedicated to the sport of dogs, the Westminster Kennel Club has given animal lovers an excuse to drop everything, grab the pupcorn and stream a whole weekend's worth of our four-legged friends taking place Saturday, June 18 through Wednesday, June 22.

Dating back to 1948, the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is the second-longest, continuously held sporting event in the country. With nearly 3,000 dogs participating in the event, we're paw-sitive you'll get a glimpse of all kinds of breeds. Country Living caught up with Westminster's resident expert Gail Miller Bisher about the show's return to New York, including the introduction of four new breeds to the show.

"Since 1877, the mission of the Westminster Kennel Club has been to celebrate purpose-bred dogs and we’re very much looking forward to being back at the Lyndhurst Estate for the 146th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show presented by Purina Pro Plan® to continue this tradition,” said Gail, Fox Sports Dog Show Analyst. “New for this year’s show, FOX Deportes will telecast coverage of the Group and Best in Show competitions to its large Spanish-speaking audience. We are also excited to welcome two newly AKC-recognized breeds, the Russian Toy and the Mudi, and viewers will be able to see 209 recognized breeds and varieties compete for the coveted title of Best in Show.”

It all starts with the Masters Agility Championship at 8AM on Saturday and ends with the exciting crowning of Best in Show on Wednesday.
