West Shore pottery studio announces grand opening

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) — A new pottery studio in Carlisle that offers a wide variety of classes and workshops has officially opened the doors to its new warehouse facility.

Mud Luv Pottery Studio is owned and operated by Midstate native Stephanie Beigh, who founded her pottery business about six years ago.

According to Beigh, Mud Luv Pottery Studio began as a business that she ran out of her basement in Enola, Pa. She would then take her various ceramic and clay creations to different arts and crafts shows around the area.

Now, after six years Beigh decided to expand her business and begin offering others the opportunity to learn more about the art of pottery.

“You know, all of these people kept asking me for years if I did pottery classes and I just got tired of always having to tell them that I don’t,” Beigh explained.

Since November 2023, Beigh has been renovating a 3,000-square-foot warehouse on 701 Factory Street in Carlisle. The new warehouse turned pottery studio is now equipped with state-of-the-art facilities which includes 14 pottery wheels, 2 slab rollers, 3 kilns, and a wide variety of glazes.

Mud Luv Pottery Studio now offers one-night pottery sessions and a six-week course that covers both wheel throwing and hand-building techniques. Furthermore, the new studio and its seven instructors also offer ‘Date Night’ classes for couples and ‘Sip and Spin’ classes for groups of friends.
