West Palm Beach’s NORA district announces new restaurant, boutique and more

West Palm Beach’s soon-to-be $1 billion mixed-use district, NORA, announced its next set of tenants as part of the project’s phase, which is now projected to finish in early 2025.

The Wynwood-like neighborhood, named after North Railroad Avenue, will house more than 150,000 square feet of public parks, restaurants, office space, lifestyle and retail all south of Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard by the railroad tracks and Dixie Highway.

This is the third round of tenant-unveiling, and there are still 11 spots left to fill, said Francis X. Scire, NORA’s head of leasing. Originally set to be completed by the end of this year, construction delays have pushed the first phase’s completion to the beginning of 2025.

“Transformational projects take time, and the slight shift in the first phase of opening is due to typical construction delays we often see in South Florida,” Joe Furst said in a statement. He is the founder of Place Projects, which is behind NORA.

The newest tenants are:

— Del Mar Mediterranean Restaurant, which has another Florida location in Naples and offers a blend of Mediterranean-inspired food, such as hummus and baba ganoush starters, and a variety of seafood entrees, such as swordfish and snapper, according to the restaurant’s website.

— Sana Skin Studio, which has locations in Coconut Grove, Fort Lauderdale and Wynwood (each with nothing but five-star reviews on Google). It is, according to its website, “a movement toward healthier skin and self love,” offering services such as facials and skincare products.

— Mint, a women’s luxury clothing and accessories boutique that is expanding outside of New York for the first time.

— The Spot Barbershop, which is described as being a “classic barbershop” with “contemporary haircuts and grooming” for men and has nearly 30 locations across South Florida, according to its website.

These new tenants join a swath of other dining, retail and workout spots, including: H&H Bagels, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar, [solidcore], Rumble Boxing, Juliana’s Pizza, The Garret Group’s Garret Sports Bar and Recreation, and Celis Juice Bar and Cafe.

“We’re being extremely territorial on our merchandise mix,” Scire said. “We don’t have a ton of space in phase one. So we really want to make sure that we’re not just leasing to fill space, we’re leasing to create the perfect merchandise mix.”

Future phases will include a 201-key boutique hotel, office space and residential offerings, according to a news release.
