Whenever a new McDonald's famous order is released, fans are able to eat just like their favorite stars. Saweetie is the latest to get her go-to order on the McDonald's menu, and we spoke to her about what went in to making the meal, and the nostalgia behind the collaboration.
For the "Best Friend" singer, the partnership was an absolute no brainer. "I know I'm not a normal girl, but when they said that McDonald's was interested in collaborating, I was shocked. But I've never said yes so fast in my life. So I'm just really excited because I grew up eating McDonald's," the rapper told Delish.
Her famous order comes with a Big Mac, four-piece McNuggets, medium fries, and a medium Sprite. For dipping, add on McDonald's beloved Tangy BBQ Sauce and the "Saweetie 'N Sour" sauce. The addition of the Big Mac is inspired by Saweetie's mom, who turned her into a Big Mac fan herself.
Saweetie is encouraging fans to mix and match her meal in innovative ways, like adding fries into their burger or using the Big Mac patties as a burger bun, so every time fans order it they can try something different. She's no stranger to peculiar food combinations and is always eating mukbang-style on her Instagram live streams—spaghetti and ranch, ramen seasoning on oysters, and Hot Cheetos on, well, everything.
"I'm known for my food concoctions, and I go live and I eat tons of meals, I think a regular meal that I typically eat on my live is McDonald's, so I think that it's just, you know, a match made in heaven," she said of the partnership. As for what the haters say about her eating habits: "I think people would just pretend they can't get on board with what I eat. I mean, how I eat is... it's normal, I just like to mix it up. I like to remix it."
You can order the Saweetie meal at McDonald's through September 5 and when you order through the app, you can be entered to win two limited edition handbags from Saweetie's favorite designer Brandon Blackwood for you and your best friend. The winner will also be rewarded a five day trip to Las Vegas with two tickets to see Saweetie live in concert.
