We're In Luck: Krispy Kreme Just Announced Four New Doughnuts For St. Patrick’s Day

Plus, score a free O'riginal Glazed when you show up dressed in green from March 15-17.

It’s always nice to share the love (and the luck) on St. Patrick’s Day with a little bit of green on your table. The sweeter, the better, we say—desserts like Mint Chocolate Chip Cake, St. Patrick’s Day Poke Cake, and nutty Pistachio Bundt Cake lend colorful, festive flair to entertaining, teacher gifts, or even just your weekend dinner plans. (Don’t miss the creamy Irish potato side dish, Colcannon, either.)

If you’d rather have the convenience of green in a pinch, however, we have good news: Charlotte, North Carolina-based doughnut chain (and Southern favorite) Krispy Kreme has just launched their own lucky spread of St. Patty’s Day treats. Their new collection features four brand-new doughnut flavors that will sham-rock your socks off:

• Luck of the Rainbow Doughnut: Original Glazed Doughnut dipped in green icing with a buttercream cloud and a “rainbow explosion” sprinkle blend

• Shamrock Cookies 'N Kreme: an unglazed doughnut shell with OREO cookies and Kreme filling, dipped in white icing with green drizzles and festive sprinkles

• Plaid Party Doughnut: an unglazed doughnut shell filled with white Kreme filling, dipped in chocolate icing and drizzled with green icing

• Shooting Shamrock Doughnut: an Original Glazed doughnut dipped in green icing with a green icing swirl and a shamrock sugar piece

“Luck is meant to be shared, and our colorful, fun, all-new St. Patrick’s Day doughnuts will make everyone feel like they’ve found a pot of gold,” said Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme.

For a limited time, the doughnut chain is also bringing back their O’riginal Glazed Doughnut: the green version of the classic Hot Light pastry folks know and love. If you’d like to try one for free, show up at a participating Krispy Kreme location wearing green from March 15-17, 2024. (No purchase necessary—here’s the fine print.)
