Gerry Turner

It was another eventful week for The Golden Bachelor as Gerry Turner whittled his group of ladies from nine to six on tonight's episode.

The cattiness of the traditional Bachelor shows has been replaced by health issues and at-home family drama—two women (Joan Vassos and Marina Perera) have already quit because they were needed back home.

Tonight, Sandra fell ill after missing her daughter’s wedding while Nancy left before the rose ceremony after injuring her leg.

This was the third time one of Gerry's contestants departed early, but this time, it wasn't her choice.

As the show began, however, the feud between Kathy and Theresa flared up again when first Bachelorette Trista Sutter arrived in the mansion to share advice for finding lasting love.

"I feel like you just have to be yourself," Trista said. "Be open to the process."

Theresa butted in and recounted her story of getting the first date rose.

Last week, Kathy had accused Theresa of boasting about her connection to Gerry and minimizing Kathy’s chance.

“She just can’t seem to find the ‘off’ button,” Kathy griped to cameras.

Trista didn't keep the advice to the ladies. She also shared her secrets to finding lasting love with Gerry.

"Stop looking for the woman you can live with and start looking for the woman you just can't live without." was her advice.

"Trista's advice made me look at things differently," Gerry said. "Is this the woman I simply cannot live without?"

What happened during Week 4 of The Golden Bachelor? Read on for more.

What happened on The Golden Bachelor group date?

Leslie received the one-on-one date with Gerry but the other women got to play in a tournament honoring Gerry’s favorite sport—pickleball!

The women, Ellen, Sandra, Susan, Nancy, April, Theresa, Faith and Kathy, were paired into teams with Gerry, Trista, host Jesse Palmer and upcoming Bachelor star Joey Graziadei watching.

Before the tournament got started, tennis teacher Joey, who was runner-up on Charity Lawson’s season of The Bachelorette, gave the ladies a few pointers. Here's how the game played out:

Ellen bragged that she played pickleball four times a week: “I share this with Gerry.”

April fell on the court with an apparent ankle injury and Gerry rushed to comfort her. “Actually, I am totally fine,” she winked at cameras.

In the tournament, Kathy and Ellen (Picklelicious Paddles) won over Sandra and Nancy (Bitchin' Kitchen).

The winning team will be featured in Pickleball magazine with Gerry.

What happened between Gerry and Sandra on The Golden Bachelor?

During the tournament, Jesse announced that Sandra was missing her own daughter’s wedding.

At the afterparty, Gerry, 72, took Sandra aside to discuss why she would miss her daughter's big day.

Sandra told Gerry that her daughter had given her her blessing. "This is something my daughter and I discussed early on," Sandra said. "She said, 'Mom, I've got my guy, I want you to go get yours.'"

Gary said he felt "very flattered" but that it was a big event that she had missed. "I thought it would be a great idea for you to call your daughter. What do you think?" he asked.

She replied, "I think you're the best."

After a bit of age-appropriate struggling to figure out which buttons to push, Gerry and Sandra FaceTimed with her daughter.

"That was so sweet of him," Sandra said later. "He's always full of sweet surprises and he's so thoughtful. This man is something different."

Gerry was so sorry Sandra had missed her daughter’s wedding that he gave her the group date rose.

What happened between Kathy and Theresa tonight?

Theresa took Kathy aside for a chat after the previous week’s dust up.

Kathy warned her not to emphasize her connection with Gerry.

Theresa insisted she wasn’t being malicious, but Kathy countered, “Don’t kiss and tell. Zip it!”

Theresa then complained to Gerry about the feud.

In a private conversation, Kathy told him that she didn’t want to hear Theresa's details, but Gerry expressed his disappointment in Kathy.

“Because of Theresa, I’m not getting a rose,” Kathy predicted.

What happened on Leslie and Gerry's  one-on-one date tonight?

Leslie was thrilled to get private time with Gerry tonight on The Golden Bachelor, but said in confessional that she’d been badly hurt in past relationships.

The dancer and Gerry rode ATVs during their date. Despite the high speed and rough terrain, Leslie said she felt safe and cared for with Gerry.

He makes me feel special," she said. "I know he's got my back.

"With my arms around Gerry, holding tight. I feel like he is the man I've been searching for for a long, long time. I had an experience that I'll never, ever forget."

She confided to him that she’d been divorced twice and had a hard time as a single mom.

“I love the way you look at me,” Gerry told her.

They kissed and got into a hot tub together, with Gerry displaying his bare chest.

He gave Leslie the date rose.

What sexy secrets did the women reveal at Bachelor mansion?

The other beauties played a risqué game of “never have I ever,” having to eat ice cream if they did the deed.

Susan revealed she'd been with a woman sexually during the game, while April disclosed she'd kissed a married man.

Sandra, who has lactose intolerance, made herself sick by eating ice cream and got into bed.

Nancy hobbled in in a walking boot after suffering a stress fracture from the pickleball match.

When Gerry and Leslie returned from their date, he spent some time with Susan. He gave her rose quartz, saying it symbolized the strength he saw in her. Gerry said that reminded him of his late wife Toni!

Gerry and Susan shared a makeout session, making Kathy seethe.

What was Ellen’s confession to Gerry?

The blonde told him, “I’m falling in love with you, Gerry.”

He got teary-eyed and told cameras that Ellen’s tender look made him think of his late wife: “When I lost Toni, and I thought the world ended, I thought I would never see it again.”

Who left The Golden Bachelor before the rose ceremony?

When Gerry took injured Nancy aside, she noted that he had more passion for others.

He replied, “I’m really not going to dispute that.”

Crying Nancy said, “I understand. I wish you the best.”

Gerry vowed to cameras that he needed to take Trista’s advice and find the woman he “couldn’t live without.”

He sent Nancy home in the van.
