The Voice is finally going live tonight when the semi-final Top 8 performances take place in front of coaches Chance the Rapper, Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan, and Blake Shelton for their chance at a spot in the finale.

This will be the first night that America gets to vote for their favorites, and it will be interesting to watch as several of the artists made their own song choice, but then others let their coach select the song that they sang.

Viewers will vote for their favorite artist in real time and the results will be revealed at the end of the show, which means that only the East Coast and Central Time zones can vote.

While the votes are being tabulated, Niall performed his new single "Meltdown." Then Chance took the stage for a performance of "Same Drugs" with three of his former team members: Manasseh Samone, Jamar Langely, and Kala Banham.

Then voting will be revealed by host Carson Daly at the end and five contestants will move on to next week’s finale.

Here's how the night went down:

Ryley Tate Wilson

Song: “Vienna” by Billy Joel

Niall: “America, I told you to strap yourself in. He’s here for a reason. This kid is off the charts. It takes a lot to get up at 15 and play the piano on TV.”

Ray Uriel

Song: “Can You Stand the Rain” by New Edition

Chance: “I am extremely proud of this performance and all your performances on the show. You get more and more confidence as you go. I felt that this was your strongest vocal.”

Holly Brand

Song: “Rumor Has It” by Reba McEntire

Kelly: “I am so proud of you. You are so gifted. You are such a competitor. It brings your game to another level. That is a hard song to sing.”

NOIVAS

Song: “Skyfall” by Adele

Blake: “Sum up that performance? I have to tell you, we do interviews before the show, and they were talking about NOIVAS. I said, ‘This guy, every time he does something, he does it different. What he feels in that moment is what he does.’ It’s always incredible. It’s why everybody loves you.”

Gina Miles

Song: “All I Want” by Kodaline

Niall: “I am so proud of you. It’s insane the person you’ve become. The confidence as you strolled around the stage like you owned the place. We have something incredible planned if she makes the finale, so please vote.”

Sorelle

Song: “Falling” by Alicia Keys

Chance: “I was blown away. That was crazy. You keep your confidence whether in rehearsal or live. It was an amazing performance. You guys should be proud.”

D. Smooth

Song: “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran

Kelly: “I am such a fan, man. I can’t believe you picked me as your coach. I am floored. Your voice is seamless. It’s straight from your soul. Even if you prepare, you get out here and do something even more special. It’s straight from your heart.”

Grace West

Song, “Til I Can Make it on My Own” by Tammy Wynette

Blake: “You got me my first gift. You sang it just like you did in rehearsal. There’s a reason no one has sung that song on the show. You can’t do it, but you just did it. I will be stunned if you don’t make the finale. You are the real deal. To have a 19-year-old girl singing classic country music, it doesn’t get better than that.”

Then it was time for Carson Daly to announce the finalists.

Team Blake's Grace West was the first one through. Then from Team Kelly, D. Smooth. Next was Team Niall's Gina Miles. Fourth was Team Chance's Sorelle. And the final artist moving on was Team Blake's NOIVAS.

The Voice wraps up next Monday, May 22 and Tuesday, May 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC when the Live Finale takes place and America votes for their favorite.
