Who Went Home and Who Made It Through to the Top 12 Tonight on ‘American Idol’

If you thought last night was a tough one on American Idol with six of the Top 26 voted off the show, tonight is even going to be more so as the Top 20 becomes the Top 12 and eight hopefuls are given their walking papers.

After the Top 20 performs, ten of the Top 12 will be selected based on America’s vote after which judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie will choose two singers to round out the Top 12 competing to be the next American Idol.

Then next week on Sunday, April 30, season 8 American Idol runner-up and bestselling artist Adam Lambert will mentor the Top 12 contestants, who will be performing songs from the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, when two more will be eliminated.
