Here is how the night broke down:

Knockout Round No. 1: Novias vs Tasha Jessen

For the first match of the night, Blake Shelton paired up Noivas, who Blake stole from Chance, and Tasha Jessen. For his song choice, Noivas chose “I Put a Spell on You” by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, while Tasha went with “Take Me To Church” by Hozier.

The winner of the Knockout Round was Novias.

Blake said, “Noivas took the Knockouts literally. His talent is shocking and fearless. There was no way for me to not pick Novias. The guy can sing circles around anybody but now I know he can outperform anybody on the show. I literally think the guy has a shot at winning."

Steal

But Tasha didn’t go home. She was stolen by Niall.

Niall: “Tasha, the one that nearly got away. After Novias, most people, including this guy (meaning him), would have pooped their pants, but she smashed it. I was looking for a big female voice and I got one."

Knockout Round No. 2: Marcos Covos vs Ali

For the second match of the night, Kelly paired Marcos Covas against Ali. Marcos selected “Jesus, Take the Wheel” by Carrie Underwood and Ali sang “Best Part” by Daniel Caesar feat. H.E.R.

The winner of the Knockout Round was Ali.

Kelly said, “I love Marcos but I had to pick Ali because every time she delivers, even in subtle ways. She has no choice but to sing and that’s such a beautiful gift.”

Knockout Round No. 3: Gina Miles vs Kate Cosentino

For the third match of the night, Niall matched Gina Miles against Kate Cosentino. Gina selected “Somebody That I Used to Know” by Gotye for her performance, while Kate went with “Call Me” by Blondie.

The winner of the Knockout was Gina.

Niall said, “Kate and Gina are so good. Gina is just so consistent. The Playoffs are Gina’s chance to step forward and trust in her ability. She’s an unbelievable talent.” Then he added, “The talent level at this point is so high. It’s hard to see really gifted people leave.”

Knockout Round No. 4: Ray Uriel vs NariYella

For the fourth match of the night, Chance pitted one-chair turn Ray Uriel against four-chair turn NariYella. Ray went with the Stevie Wonder song “Lately,” while NariYella chose “Bust Your Windows” by Jazmine Sullivan.

In a true underdog fashion, Ray won the Knockout.

Chance said, “It’s the Knockout Round for a reason. You’ve got to give a knockout performance and Ray really did that. He showed us his ability to shape shift and take on different songs. I look forward to seeing his take on some more contemporary works.”

Knockout Round No. 5: Kylee Dane vs Eric Carmen

For the fifth match of the night, Blake picked two disparate artists: Kylee Dane against Eric Carmen. Kylee went big, picking “All By Myself” by Eric Carmen, but the Celine Dion version, while Walker went with the Waylon Jennings tune “I Ain’t Livin’ Long Like This.”

It wasn’t much of a competition. Kylee sang her way into the Playoffs.

Blake said, “I had to pick Kylee. She sang the hell out of the song. You want to pick somebody who is willing to lay it all out and hit for the fences.”

Knockout Round No. 6: Cait Martin vs Kala Banham

In the final Knockout Round of the night, Kelly paired Cait Martin against Kala Banham, who she stole from Niall in the Battles. Cait also went big with “All the Man That I Need” by Whitney Houston, while Kala stayed in her storyteller lane with “Iris” by Goo Goo Dolls.

The winner of the Knockout was Cait.

Kelly said, “Cait loves big, big songs. She loves the challenge of it and tackling it in her own way and that is what this competition is about. She’s not only one of the strongest singers on my team, but in the competition.

Steal

But Kala didn’t go home. Both Blake and Chance tried to get her for their teams.

Blake said, “One of us was clear you were the winner [of the Knockout], while one of us was painfully clear you weren’t. I would be proud to have you on Team Blake, or you can take a chance.”

Chance said, “Do you remember when Blake turned around for you in the Blinds? No? Because he didn’t. I did turn for you in the Blinds and I tried to Steal you in the Battles, so I was playing the long game. We could win together, or you could go with Blake.

Kala chose Chance.

The Voice continues with the second night of Knockout Rounds Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
