Wendy's Unveiled A Massive Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger Topped With Beer Cheese And Crispy Onions
If you've been paying any attention to Wendy's Twitter account you'll already know that they've been teasing something big and pretzel-related. Well now we finally know what it is and it's SO good. The pretzel bun is coming back to Wendy's in the form of a Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger and you're going to want to try it ASAP.
As you can see from the photo above, this burger is not messing around. It features a quarter-pound patty, Muenster cheese, three strips of Applewood smoked bacon, honey mustard, a warm beer cheese sauce, crispy fried onions, and pickles. There's a whole lot going on here and all of it is GOOD. We got a chance to try it ahead of its release and all I can say is wow. This burger tastes like something you'd find in, well, a pub. It's meaty, it's high-quality, and it's packed with flavor. I will be dreaming of this beer cheese sauce for a while.
Alongside it, you can find Bacon Pub Fries which are classic Wendy's fries that have been topped with Applewood smoked bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and warm beer cheese sauce. It is another thing that will remind you of sitting inside a cozy bar eating pub food and downing a pint of beer. Bring these home from the drive-thru, crack open a can, and boom, you're there.
The burger will run you roughly $5.69, which is pretty good for this massive of a sandwich. You can also get one for free through Postmates from September 4-7 with a minimum $15 purchase, so if you can wait until then, do it...or get one now and look forward to that free one later.
