Wendy's Sweet New Breakfast Menu Item Will Make You Want to Get Out of Bed
Wendy's made an announcement related to its breakfast menu that may just be worth getting up early for.
Wendy's locations across the nation are set to unveil the fast food chain's first sweet breakfast option–and one that's deliciously dunkable–to its menus next week.
Wendy's Homestyle French Toast Sticks will be available to order in-store and on the app starting Aug. 15 from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., according to a press release.
"Our Homestyle French Toast Sticks strike a perfect note of nostalgia and bring even more morning flavor to our menu – this time with something sweet," Wendy's Chief Marketing Officer, Carl Loredo, stated in the release.
The Vice President of Culinary Innovation, John Li, added: "We are always looking at new ways to deliver high-quality, craveable and affordable breakfast offerings, the Homestyle French Toast Sticks play into sweetness – a space we've mastered– to balance out our savory morning flavors. The piping hot pillowy French Toast Sticks and golden syrup dip are the perfect way to take your breakfast game to the next level."
Each bite of the entree is said to deliver a mouthful of flavor and perfectly balance the soft, custardy interior and crisp, golden-brown crust French toast lovers crave with just the right amount of vanilla. The item also includes Wendy's new syrup dip to be enjoyed however customers choose—drizzled, dipped, or dunked!
Wendy's Homestyle French Toast Sticks can be served as a four-piece or six-piece a la carte option; as well as a six-piece combo that includes Seasoned Potatoes as a side and a drink (prices vary by location).
