Wendy’s just made customers’ days everywhere—by launching the new Baconator sandwich with a twist: a pretzel bun! This sandwich was just launched in the last week of November, and fans are already loving it, but they’re not loving the price. Many customers have taken to Reddit to share the price of the Pretzel Baconator at their local Wendy’s, and many of them are outraged at the near $10 price tag.

Wendy’s is one of many fast food restaurants that have been hiking up menu prices in the recent past. One report from Pricelisto found that the chain increased its menu prices by 35% between September 2021 and October 2022. At least they’re coming out with new and delicious burgers? Keep reading for more information.

What Is The Pretzel Baconator?

According to the Wendy's website, this delicious concoction includes two "fresh never frozen beef patties, melty American cheese, saucy condiments, and of course, the Applewood Smoked bacon, and added our our irresistible Pretzel Bun, adored by our fans time and time again, for a twist that every true Baconator fan and Pretzel fanatic needs to try."

And try they have. One user on Reddit wrote, "I got the new Pretzel Baconator, triple. BEST fast food I’ve had in a while. I ended up going back in the drive thru and getting two more, although just doubles this time. Anyone else had it? Mine each had like 8 thick slices of bacon on them."

"Had it a couple days ago it was really good," another user agreed.

Customers on X, formerly known as Twitter, shared these users' sentiments:

It's safe to say fans are loving the Pretzel Baconator. But is it worth the price? Even further, is it worth the calories? Wendy's reports that the Pretzel Baconator is a whopping 1,050 calories, surpassing the original Baconator, which is 960 calories, and the Son of a Baconator, which is 630 calories.

Wendy's Pretzel Baconator Costs Up To $10

Many customers have taken to Reddit to share their thoughts on whether or not the Pretzel Baconator is worth the price. One user wrote, "Yeah, the regular Baconator is $8.49 near me. They'll probably slap an extra $2 on just for the bun."

"It's such an interesting concept that Wendy's and many others pump out these premium level burgers, but want to price them nearly as much as a burger in a sit down diner," another person replied.

"It's available now for $9.19 at my location," one person commented, but another replied, "I want to try it but there's no way I'm paying that much."

Another person on X exaggerated a bit to get their point across:

And another user agreed:

Looks like we'll have to try it for ourselves to see if it's worth nearly $10...
