Wendy Williams

Wendy Williams is set to hit the screen again, but this time, in a much more intimate way.

The media maven—who stepped away from The Wendy Williams Show after 14 seasons while dealing with health complications—is set to go into depth for fans with a look at some of the struggles she's been enduring as of late, as seen in a new clip from an upcoming documentary entitled Where Is Wendy Williams?

The 59-year-old became overwhelmed with emotion in the first trailer for the TV special, which is set to air on Lifetime in a two-night feature event. It will chronicle Williams' health decline, in addition to addressing personal and financial woes.

While the initial shared trailer was deleted just minutes after being posted on social media, in it, Williams claimed she has "no money," and broke down in tears as she explained her struggles with both mental and physical illness following the end of her talk show.

“I have no money, and I’m gonna tell you something,” Williams said in the trailer, “If it happens to me, it could happen to you.”

For those unaware, the former radio show DJ also went through a less-than-pleasant divorce from ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, which also added to stressors.

The longtime media expert can also be seen having mobility issues, while also including her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., who told the camera she's "done a really good job at making it seem like everything's okay, but in reality, there's something wrong going on."

The official description reads: “After Wendy Williams was placed under a financial guardianship and her hit talk show was unexpectedly canceled, she was determined to make a career comeback. Opening the doors to her private life like never before, cameras chronicled her comeback journey to reclaim her life and legacy despite facing health issues and personal turbulence. With unparalleled access granted by Wendy to film with her and her family for nearly two years, what was captured was not what anyone expected."

It continues: "The documentary provides a raw, honest and unfiltered reality of Wendy’s life after she was placed under financial guardianship, shedding light on the vulnerabilities that has turned Wendy into the Hot Topic herself. Suffering mental and physical issues, Wendy’s delicate state of mind, erratic behavior and declining health were all captured by the cameras. Where Is Wendy Williams? is the story of Wendy’s journey to resurrect her career, and what filmmakers discovered along the way. But many questions remain — who truly has Wendy’s best interest at heart? Is she healthy now?”

Though certainly not under the best circumstances, the snippet was a treat for fans of the broadcasting guru and talk show queen, whom have not seen or heard much from her due to her ongoing medical conditions.

The video is the first time Williams has been spotted in nearly a year, with the last time she was photographed in public being outside of an NYC eatery.

In addition to Graves' disease, the former TV personality also struggles with lymphedema, hyperthyroidism, and other physical ailments, as well as having gone through multiple bouts with substance abuse, which she has entered rehab and wellness centers for in the past.

Catch Where Is Wendy Williams? on Feb. 24 and 25 at 8 PM ET/PT on Lifetime.
