Creamsicle Frosty

The clocks have moved forward, the Blue Bonnets are popping, and the grass is ready for a trim. Spring has arrived and to mark the occasion, Wendy's is celebrating with a new Frosty flavor that is sure to inspire some sweet springtime nostalgia.

The fast food chain just announced a new addition to its menu and it just might usurp the spot in your car’s cup holder that is normally reserved for a Chocolate Frosty. Just in time for the first day of spring, Wendy’s will offer an Orange Dreamsicle Frosty. That’s right, they are taking the orange-vanilla flavor of a Creamsicle, that classic summer treat, and whipping it up into a cool new spin on the iconic flavor combination sure to take you straight back to your childhood.

The Orange Dreamsicle Frosty is available at participating Wendy's starting on March 19 and we're guessing its eye-catching good looks extend to its taste, too. The Orange Dreamsicle Frosty is the chain's first foray into a seasonal springtime treat and will actually replace the Vanilla Frosty on menus at participating Wendy's. Don't fret, though, the classic vanilla will be back soon, since the orange-vanilla version is only here for a limited period. Wendy's has been shaking things up with its new seasonally-inspired Frostys and we can't wait to see what comes after the strawberry, pumpkin spice, peppermint, and creamsicle spins. Maybe we'll see gingerbread or marshmallow Peeps-flavored versions soon?

If you can't get to a Wendy's but are craving that creamy citrusy flavor, there's always orange cream granita, cranberry dreamsicle trifle, and loads of variations on citrus cream pies to try at home.
