Last week we saw Kandy Muse send home Jaymes Mansfield in the first truly shocking elimination of All Stars 8. That left only six queens to compete in this week's improv challenge, a true-crime documentary about Drag Race legend Lil' Poundcake. After a tumultuous morning in the Werk Room and a pep talk/handful of vague threats from RuPaul, the queens attempted to make Mama Ru laugh during the crime-scene spoof.

Then the six queens went full pageant during the Miss Fill-in-the-Blank runway before another of the All Stars, following Lil' Poundcake's example, was disappeared.

More info below on this week's episode, lip-sync assassin and who went home.

Kahanna Montrese

On her fourth trip to the bottom, Kahanna Montrese was finally sent home this week, although the path to this inevitable end was anything but straightforward. After the queens unpacked why they unanimously decided to boot Jaymes Mansfield last week (a decision that I still don't understand and smells of fishy editing to me), RuPaul announced this week the queens would be flexing their improv skills in a ru-crime documentary, Wha' Ha' Happened to Lil' Poundcake? The meltdowns began immediately. Alexis Michelle started weeping when she gave up a good role for the second week in a row. Kandy stormed off when Alexis started crying. Kahanna tried to quit given that she would OBVIOUSLY go home this week because she's not great at comedy.

In light of Heidi N Closet already quitting two episodes ago, Ru clearly saw the season crumbling around his eyes and rushed into the Werk Room to deliver what was billed as a pep talk, but seemed to me to be more veiled threats and whoop ass. I've been saying for weeks that something funky is going on behind the scenes of this season, and while the queens seem ready to revolt, Ru needs them in line to fulfill the episode quota.

Back on track, the queens performed in a fairly lackluster faux documentary that provided us with endless amounts of RuPaul voiceover and very little improv. This week's runway was even more lackluster as only Alexis Michelle did anything remotely interesting with the open-ended Miss Fill-in-the-Blank theme. Lala Ri (the only queen given any airtime in the challenge) won the week in a walk, and after easily besting this week's lip sync assassin Jorgeous, finally put Kahanna out of her misery. All-in-all one of the worst episodes of the franchise ever.

Who was the lip sync assassin on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 8, Episode 7?

The Season 14 girls are really getting a lot of airtime. Just weeks after both Jasmine Kennedie and Angeria Paris VanMichaels arrived as lip sync assassins, Jorgeous became the third Season 14 queen to say "hellotis" to All Stars 8. While Jorgeous and her famous "punch the ghost" move solidified her as the lip sync queen of her original season where she won 4 lip syncs, she didn't put up much of a fight this week. She was up against Lala Ri, and the Lizzo song was much more in the All Star's wheelhouse. Lala won, making her only the third queen to beat the assassin this season.

Did Kahanna Montrese quit RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 8?

No, Kahanna Montrese did not quit this week, but she attempted to before RuPaul swooped in and gave her a pep talk. While Kahanna ultimately did go home, it was after a decent performance in the improv challenge and on a much higher note. While Kahanna fell short of her ultimate goal, she certainly improved on her track record in All Stars.

Which queens are left on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 8?

There are only 5 drag queens left fighting for the crown. They are:

Alexis Michelle
Jessica Wild
Jimbo
Kandy Muse
Lala Ri
