If you think Marvel is everywhere lately, you are correct — but there’s more. The Weeknd announced “Starboy,” his own Marvel comic book! The singer announced the news on Instagram, and we already can’t wait to read it.

Between the first trailer for Marvel’s Runaways and the anticipation of a new Marvel/Netflix show dropping at any second, we are fully behind the Marvel machine.

Now bring on Starboy.

If the comic book is even half as good as the album of the same name, we can’t wait to consume it repeatedly. The Weeknd mentioned the possibility of a comic book when he released the Starboy album last year, but we weren’t sure if it would ever become a reality. We are so happy that it is!

It’s not often albums are made into comic books, but this one makes sense. After The Weeknd explained that Starboy is a character created with the intention of furthering his story, it all comes together.

“He’s a cool, dope character that makes appearances a lot on the album. He’s definitely made his appearance in different records in the past, as well,” The Weeknd told Pigeons & Planes. “He’s a more braggadocious character that we all have inside of us.”

The Weeknd joins a group of A-list artists who have their own Marvel comic books, including Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Kiss, and The Black Eyed Peas. It is so nice to see creativity bleed into other genres. Music doesn’t have to stay music; branching out into other forms is healthy and inspirational. All our favorite musicians should have comic books!

We are certainly not alone in our excitement.

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

LOL. Same though.

Alright, Marvel. We give in. Come take our money.
