Weekly Astrology Forecast, April 23-29: Surrendering to Destiny

There isn’t an abundance of astrological movements at the moment, which allows us to settle into the effects of last week, including the solar eclipse on the new Moon, the beginning of Taurus season, and the onset of Mercury retrograde. In the days to come, the Sun will align with the North Node, inviting a sense of purpose, insight, evolution, and awareness.
Sun Conjunct North Node
The lunar nodes in astrology aren't celestial bodies like planets or asteroids. Rather, the north and south nodes are geographical points in our cosmos calculated from the orbit of the Earth, Sun, and Moon.
In astrology, the lunar nodes represent the path of purpose we are walking. They speak to themes of destiny, fate, and karma. We each have our own lunar nodes according to our birth chart, therefore we experience our unique destiny simultaneously as we feel the effects of the collective lunar node placements and the shared fate of humanity.
For the last 15 months, the north node has been in the grounded sign of Taurus. It has beckoned us, as a collective, to heal and recreate our shared relationship with our Earth, self-worth, finances, and physical bodies.
This chapter will come to a close in July as the north node shifts into Aries. Before that shift takes place, the Sun will come together with the north node in Taurus on April 24, 2023, acting as a final spotlight on this shared journey we have all been walking.
The Sun, in both our solar system and understanding of astrology, is a central focus. It is the source of life, the spark that is our Spirit and the giver of vitality. Whenever the Sun comes together with a planet--or in this case, a specific location--in our cosmos, this vitality and life force is shared with the themes in question.
As the Sun comes together in conjunction with the north node, we are gifted with insight, vitality, and fated events that pour into the collective purpose, path, and destiny of the north node in Taurus.
There is an invitation on this day and the surrounding days to reflect on your relationship with stability, security, and finances--all themes of Taurus. It's a meeting in the cosmos highlighting your journey with your physical body, your senses and sensuality, your foundation for the present and the future, and your connection to moving throughout life and nature in a sustained way.
The lunar nodes remind us that the movements we make, the emotions we embody, and the steps we take are a part of this collective path of destiny. As you heal, nourish, and evolve in a certain direction, so does humanity.
Your Invitation
As the Sun aligns with the north node, invite space and time to reflect on your journey with the Taurus themes you’ve experienced throughout the last 15 months. Consider how you’ve changed through the following journal prompts:
What does safety and security feel like to you? How is this represented in your material world?
What is your relationship with the Earth? Can you feel sustained, supported, and held by nature?
What is your relationship with your physical body? How is this relationship ready to evolve?
What is your perspective of abundance and the availability of resources? How can you support this relationship?
How does slow and sustained movement feel in your body? Do you feel safe or do you want to rush ahead?
What can nature, and your body, teach you today?
The Sun acts as a giver of space, light, insight, understanding, and life force for the north node so that you may continue walking upon this destined path that is always calling you forward. It is through this reflection that breakthroughs, healing, awareness and growth can be found.
