As much as we supported David Beckham's mission to grow out his hair, we're happy to report that he's recently returned to a shorter look. It isn't the tight fade he became famous for sporting a few years back, but a messier, part-free look. Here's proof short hair can be just as DGAF as rocker lengths.
Brooklyn Beckham Follows Suit
Brooklyn Beckham's hair changes every week, but it's been a minute since he embraced a barber cut. This one starts a bit lower on the head and has a messy, voluminous top. It's a look we've seen a lot of fade-loving guys turn to recently, including fellow hair rebel Zayn Malik. If David Beckham's haircut is too basic-bro for you, his son's slightly edgier spin is a good option.
Donald Glover Promotes Grown-Out Grooming
Donald Glover's grooming look hasn't changed drastically but he's switched up his facial hair, sporting a Van Dyke instead of his usual full-on beard or scruff, while letting his hair get a bit longer too. We dig his hair's subtly textured ends in particular. They looked especially good while Glover was backlit on stage at the Grammy Awards.
Jared Leto's Long Hair Defies the Laws of Shininess
Speaking of backlit celebrity haircuts, Jared Leto performed his new single this week with a new-ish grooming look to match. While his hair has been long for a while now, he's been moving in a more groomed, layered direction with it over the last several months. Paired with a bushy, untamed beard, the look is very '70s folk singer—only shinier. If you'd like your hair to have this level of reflection, you're going to need a hairdryer.
Tyler the Creator Makes a Not-so-Serious Statement
This week's grooming "you do you" nod goes to Tyler the Creator, who rolled up to the Grammy Awards with this leopard-dyed hairstyle. Leave it to the 26-year-old rapper to take the daring dyed buzz-cut trend to such an insane place. What the rest of us can learn from this level of grooming swerve is that hair doesn't always have to be so serious. Remember: it grows back.
