Season 1 ended with a cliffhanger, here's who think could be Wednesday's stalker.

When Netflix's Wednesday premiered on Nov. 23, it took the streaming world by storm. This adaptation has a Nancy Drew twist, concentrating solely on the main character, Wednesday Adams (You's Jenna Ortega). The first season is full of twists and turns as Wednesday seeks to discover the mysteries of the magical school, Nevermore Academy, the mysterious creature slaughtering the people of Jericho, and the tortuous and antagonistic relationship between "outcasts'' and "normies."

Wednesday Addams was able to kidnap our hearts and leave us wanting more in just eight episodes. Here is everything you need to know about the mysterious Netflix series, including burning fan questions regarding Wednesday season 2.

Is Wednesday coming back for season 2?

Yes! Netflix has finally confirmed the series is coming back for a second season. While Netflix took their time revealing the renewal news, we couldn't imagine the Tim Burton-directed series wounldn't return. According to a tweet shared by Netflix’s official account, "Wednesday now holds the record for most hours viewed in a week for an English-language series on Netflix, with 341.2 MILLION HOURS!" The streaming giant also revealed that the supernatural meets mystery series "is #1 in 83 countries, tying the record set by Stranger Things 4. " The show was unquestionably a smashing success.

What will Wednesday season 2 be about?

The concluding episode, "Murder of Woes," answers questions that persisted throughout the first season. Ms. Thornhill, played by Christina Ricci, is revealed to be Laurel Gates, the master of the Hyde, who is also discovered to be Tyler. Ms. Thornhill murders Principal Weems, who is played by Game of Thrones alum Gwendoline Christie. Enid finally wolfes out and has an epic fight with Tyler in his Hyde form, ultimately beating him. Wednesday destroys the zombified Joseph Crackstone, Laurel Gate's ancestor and the town's founder who despises Outcasts, with the help of Siren Bianca, and Eugene defeats Gates with a swarm of bees.

But the season ended with two cliffhangers: Tyler transforming into his Hyde form while being imprisoned on a truck, and Wednesday getting a note revealing she has a stalker.

With signs that Tyler may be freed from custody, fans could see more of Tyler and Wednesday, though not with the same romantic dynamics that they once had. Tyler could have more freewill now that Ms. Thornhill, alias Laurel Gates, has been eliminated. This could lead to him learning how to control his violent desires, hopefully becoming an aid to Wednesday again. Wishful thinking, but we can expect Wednesday and Thing to travel to hell and back to find out the identity of her stalker.

In season 2 Wednesday will be maturing as she navigates through a colorful dynamic world. “The series is really about a girl who sees the world in black and white, and learning there are shades of gray,” co-showrunner Al Gough tells TVLine. “I think like any relationship or any friendship, it can get complicated by other factors. It’s never going to be smooth sailing. And it’s really her learning to navigate the ups and downs of friendship.”

While the future of Wednesday Addams has not been announced yet, in a recent Variety interview, co-showrunner Miles Millar shares that they “have a pretty clear runway of what we want to do in future seasons.”

What happened in Wednesday Season 1?

Wednesday Addams "attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago—all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships of the strange and diverse student body."

As for the return of Hunter Doohan (Tyler Galpin), Gough tell Variety, “Yeah. Absolutely. He’s out there. That’s what we wanted to convey.”

What fans can expect is more of the Addams family, which consists of Wednesday’s mother Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones), her father Gomez (Luis Guzmán), her brother Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez) and Thing (Victor Dorobantu).

“We felt like we just touched the surface with those characters and the actors are so amazing in those roles,” Millar explains in an interview with TV Line “Catherine is, I think, an iconic Morticia. The relationship between Wednesday and Morticia is also essential to the show, and the idea that Wednesday is trying to forge her own path outside the family is important.”

Who will be Nevermore's new principal?

The identity of the new principal of Nevermore has yet to be announced. Many fans are wondering who will be the new principal of Nevermore after the death of Principal Weems. Throughout the series, it is revealed that Weems has a complicated relationship with the oblivious Morticia Addams, her roommate at Nevermore. Our prediction is that there is a chance that Morticia could return as the principal of Nevermore Academy. After all, Wednesday's mother is an alum with a stellar reputation in the school. Will Bianca leave Nevermore to return to the Morning Song cult?

Bianca is introduced in season 1 as the queen bee of Nevermore, Xavier's ex-girlfriend and Wednesday's adversary. However, as the season progresses, Bianca's connection with Wednesday evolves, but we also get a glimpse into Bianca's tumultuous past.

Her mother, Gabrielle, is also a siren who belongs to a "church" called Morning Song. Her mother sees Morning Song as a “personal development movement” but Bianca clearly does not see the cult that way.

Gabrielle reveals that Bianca fled Morning Song and changed her name, implies that she used her siren powers to gain admission to the academy, and tells her daughter that she married the Morning Song's leader, Gideon, much to Bianca's chagrin.

Could Bianca be the new villain in Wednesday Season 2?

Bianca is given an ultimatum by her mother, after Gabrielle explains that her siren song is drying up. Due to that, the “cults” recruitment numbers are low and people are starting to ask questions. She tells her daughter that she must return to the cult to use her siren song or that she’ll expose her secret of how she got into Nevermore Academy.

In an interview with Deadline, Joy Sunday says, “Bianca doesn’t seem like someone who stands in the background at all. I think even if she was forced to leave Nevermore, I don’t think she would really leave. I think she has a lot more strength and fortitude in her.”

Bianca and Morning Song have the potential to become the villain in season 2. Fans will have to wait and see what happens.

Is Xavier going to be Wednesday’s new love interest?

If you’ve seen the first season, it’s safe to say that Wednesday clearly has a complicated relationship with Xavier. He has expressed many times throughout the show that he likes Wednesday, but the titular character picks Tyler. After suspecting that Xavier is the Hyde, Wednesday gets him arrested by Sheriff Galpin, Tyler’s dad, and that sours the already complex relationship. However, Wednesday redeems herself after wrongfully accusing Xavier, by taking an arrow to her shoulder for him. Fans last see him gifting Wednesday a cellphone, an item she’s never owned before.

When asked about what’s next for the love triangle in season 2 by co-star Emma Myers in an MTV news video, Jenna says, "Now that Tyler's off the table, I feel like she's off of boys for a while. I feel like her and Xavier are just getting to a safe place. I think there's an opportunity there for a really sweet platonic relationship."

Will Xavier's Dad Appear In Wednesday Season 2?

Xavier’s famous dad, Vincent Thorpe, is discussed throughout season 1, even standing his son up on Parents weekend. It’ll be a missed opportunity not to introduce the mysterious Vincent Thorpe in season 2. It will help fans understand Xavier’s brooding behavior, and the context behind his poor relationship with his father.
