When it comes to choosing any type of pillow, "you want your head to be properly supported so that your neck muscles can relax," Nicole Nagle, an assistant professor in the department of kinesiology and health at Rutgers University, tells Yahoo Life. "When selecting a pillow, you should focus on the alignment of your body," she continues. "As you lay on a pillow, you want to make sure that it is supporting not only your head, but your neck as well."
