This wedding dress company is offering free gowns to brides who are in a bind after Alfred Angelo shut down
Bridepocalypse just got a little bit less dismal, thanks to Floravere, an online bridal shop that allows you to customize your wedding gown. Floravere is offering FREE dresses to brides left in the lurch by Alfred Angelo’s bankruptcy announcement and subsequent shut down earlier this month; the abrupt store closures left thousands of brides who had ordered dresses scrambling.
It sounds too good to be true, but it’s not. The only catch is that these free (and stylish) wedding gowns only come in sample sizes, but besides that, this really could be a miracle for some brides who had paid for their Alfred Angelo gowns and don’t have a budget to get a replacement (because really, who does?).
On their website, Floravere has a page for those affected by #bridepocalypse that says,
“Alfred Angelo brides, we want to help! All of the gowns from our last collection are in need of new homes and we’re giving them away — totally free — to brides in need of new dresses.”
This is the height of generosity.
