The meteoric rise and sudden, embarrassing fall of WeWork, the office rental company, is among the biggest cautionary tales in Silicon Valley's history—even rivaling that of Elizabeth Holmes's Theranos. (Which is also coming to the small screen in The Dropout starring Amanda Seyfried.)

Per Deadline, "WeCrashed will follow the greed-filled rise and inevitable fall of WeWork, one of the world’s most valuable startups, and the narcissists whose chaotic love made it all possible. WeWork grew from a single coworking space into a global brand worth $47 billion in under a decade. Then, in less than a year, its value plummeted. What happened?"

Here's what we know so far about the WeCrashed.

The first trailer for WeCrashed is here.

"Come with me," Adam Neumann (Jared Leto) declares in the trailer, "and let's build the future together." The show documents how they believed they were "selling an experience," and how they lost millions of dollars, and Rebecca Neumann (Anne Hathaway) on her own quest for success.

Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway are starring.

Oscar winners Leto and Hathaway have signed on to play WeWork cofounders Adam Neumann and Rebekah Paltrow Neumann; the duo are also working on the show as executive producers.

WeCrashed also features O-T Fagbenle as Cameron Lautner, an investor, Kyle Marvin as Miguel McKelvey, WeWork's other founder, and America Ferrera as Elishia Kennedy, a young entrepreneur.

It's based on the Wondery podcast.

The series will use the hit podcast "WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork" as its source material, and promises to "follow the greed-filled rise and inevitable fall of start-up WeWork and the narcissists whose chaotic love made it all possible," per the Hollywood Reporter.

Lee Eisenberg and Drew Crevello are creating the series.

Eisenberg (Little America) and Crevello (The Long Dark) are co-writing and co-showrunning WeCrashed. They'll be joined by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra (Crazy, Stupid, Love., This Is Us), who will direct the series.

Adam Neumann (probably) won't be watching.

WeWork co-founder Adam Neumann said Jared Leto told him not to watch the show. Speaking at the New York Times DealBook Online Summit, Neumann said, "When someone tells you, ‘I am going to act you, and you shouldn’t watch it…"

He continued, "What happened in the world that we can take a person, look exactly like them, put on prosthetics, put their wife and kids in a show and then do a show on a … single-sided narrative that I am telling you is not actually true in a lot of things. And actually do a show that profits from it? I think back in the day you were not allowed to do this. And I know public figures, you can do. But you use their face, use their name and tell a false story?"

The show premieres March 18.

The first three episodes will drop on Friday, March 18, with a new episode airing every Friday until April 22 on Apple TV+.
