As The Weather & Leaves Change, It's Time For Wine Picnics In The Park

Is there a more pleasurable weather shift from summer into fall, anywhere in the world, that can rival welcoming-in the fall in New York City? The dog days of summer in NYC hit hard, with sticky sweltering days that seem to never end...until they do. It sneaks up on us every year, but you know-it when having a jacket in tow for sundown becomes a necessity. That's when the people rejoice. The Lowell Hotel is located at 28 E 63rd Street, one block off Central Park East, and they are giving the fall weather a run for its money with the launch of both their Pembroke Picnic, and al fresco dining! Feel like upping the game? Opt for the Sparkling Pembroke Picnic, which adds a bottle of Château de Campuget Rosé from Costières de Nîmes in France's Rhône Valley. After a long artsy day at the Guggenheim or The Met, let the soft and supple texture of Château de Campuget Rosé paired with a handmade sandwich and the backdrop of Central Park chill you down and warm your soul.

Experience a taste of The Lowell's sophisticated hospitality beyond the confines of the hotel with their newest picnic hamper experience! Situated in Manhattan's Upper East Side since 1927 amidst charming brownstones and admired attractions, The Lowell is conveniently located near the expansive oasis of Central Park. Available exclusively to guests, their new Pembroke Picnic offers a choice of delectable handmade sandwiches from their talented culinary team, such as Prosciutto, Mozzarella, Roasted Pepper, and Arugula, or Turkey, Avocado, and Heirloom Tomato, and vegetarian items at request. The picnic also includes a side of chips, an assortment of charcuterie, cheesecake with fresh berries, cookies, and refreshment options such as Saratoga still water, soda, or TOST sparkling white tea. For a more celebratory experience, guests can opt for the Sparkling Pembroke Picnic which includes all of the items from the Classic Picnic, as well as a bottle of Rosé Campuget from the Rhone Valley or Sparkling Rosé. Each bundle comes complete with all the necessary makings of an ideal picnic in the park, replete with a wicker and canvas basket tote, cutlery, tableware, blankets and pillows. Whether nestled in the periphery of the duck pond, sat beneath the shady trees just beyond the Conservatory Water or opting for prime-time people watching on the benches of Central Park's Promenade, guests can indulge in the ultimate al-fresco dining! For an alternative option to enjoy an open air ambience, the property’s on-site establishment, Jacques Bar, has brought their bold flavors outdoors. Inspired by the Yves Saint Laurent gardens in Marrakech, guests can enjoy a menu of perfectly executed cocktails including their Marrakesh Express (made with Tito’s Vodka, Pineapple, Saint-Germain) or Moroccan Orange (made with Mezcal, Orgeat, Lemon, Orange), accompanied by decadent bar snacks and dishes to relish in the exquisite transition of late Summer to Fall.
