We Are One "Momentum Project" Web Series Documents Team Camp In British Columbia

In February, popular Canadian bike brand We Are One announced they would be sponsoring a downhill race team featuring Jon Mozell and Mark Wallace.

To document the journey, We Are One is releasing a web series. Watch Mark and Jon first ride their bikes in Episode 1 of the Momentum Project below.

In this video, the team went to Vancouver Island to ride at the legendary shuttle spot Mount Prevost. The convenient laps and chunky terrain make it an ideal location to get used to a new Downhill bike in the winter.

We Are One is a brand that first rose to prominence manufacturing high-end carbon wheels in Kamloops, BC. In 2021, they got into the frame manufacturing business when they launched the Arrival. Fielding a downhill race team is a natural next step, though the Downhill Bike is just a prototype at this time.

Amazingly, the bike has a lot of options for customization, including links for running the bike with mixed wheel sizes and playing with chainstay length. If there is a brand I trust to make a good prototype it is WeAreOne with their manufacturing capacity all under one roof.

The stated goal of the We Are One Momentum Project is to increase Canadian representation on the world stage. Even though British Columbia is such a hotbed of riding, the World Cup is primarily European and it is harder for Canadians to get there. The Momentum Project is an attempt to get Canadian talent on the World Stage.
