Yes, You Can Wear White After Labor Day. But Why Wait?

If you're the type of person that still adamantly maintains wearing white after Labor Day is a serious taboo, we're probably going to have problems. In this increasingly polarized sociopolitical climate, can't we all rally around one issue that has broad, cross-aisle appeal? Not wearing white after Labor Day is absurd. It never should've been a thing, and it definitely shouldn't be one now. (And chances are, if you're still passionately clinging to some backward-looking notion of proper dress etiquette, your take on other slightly more pressing issues likely isn't one I want to hear either.) You can now wear white whenever the hell you want. Get over it, guy.

That being said, pulling up in head-to-toe white like you're en route to some off-brand tequila-sponsored event deep in the Hamptons probably isn't the play. But incorporating some subtle (and not-so-subtle!) hints of white into your regular rotation year round is never a bad move, especially if you choose 'em with care.
