I Wear This Cozy Lounge Set More Often Than I Should Probably Admit

Lounge sets are no longer "having a moment." After two years spent working from home, lounge sets are officially a closet staple — and will be for the rest of time. I adopted cozy sets into my wardrobe early on (my leggings-sports-sweatshirt combo was not cutting it), but of all the sets I've tried over the past two years, one easily reigns supreme. In fact, it's so unrivaled that I'm considering buying it in every color and ditching my overworn tie-dye sets for good. Allow me to introduce you to the Guess Serena Leggings and Tanya Sweater set.

Unlike your typical two-piece lounge set, this one comes with a trio of matching pieces: leggings, a tank top, and a cable crop sweater, all made of an absurdly cozy fabric. While browsing racks of clothing at a Guess event last month, the cozy-looking leggings immediately caught my eye. One touch of the soft fabric and I had to bring them home to test out myself. As soon as I pulled on the comfy pants, I was hooked. And when I threw on the matching cropped cable knit sweater (in desert green), I not only felt good, I knew I looked damn good, too.

Despite what you might think when you hear "sweater leggings," this pair isn't itchy, hot, or heavy. Au contraire — these feel like my softest blanket and make my butt look like a peach emoji to boot. I chose a size medium (for reference, I'm typically a size 4 in leggings and 27 in jeans), but I could have downsized since the bottoms fit loosely and aren't constrictive at all.

For the tank, I snagged a size small — which fits me perfectly — and a medium in the sweater, so I have the option to wear it off-the-shoulder with the tank underneath. In hindsight, a small sweater would have fit me well, too, but I like the slightly oversized look. Unlike bulky cable knit sweaters, this one doesn't make me feel overheated when I'm relaxing at home, but it's the ideal weight and warmth instead.

Bonus: The tank doubles as a going-out top when paired with a flannel shirt or leather jacket — I've done so several times and gotten multiple compliments on the cozy yet sexy look. The sweetheart neckline is super flattering and the sweater fabric makes it dressy enough to pass for a non-lounge top.
