Wayfair Is Selling a Dupe of Crate & Barrel’s “Gorgeous” Mid-Century Modern Leather Sofa (and It’s $2,600 Cheaper!)
If you’re a loyal AT reader, I’m guessing you have a favorite home retailer whom, if given the chance, you’d let furnish your entire apartment. I’m also guessing you probably don’t own many pieces from said retailer because most of them are out of your budget. For me, that retailer is Crate & Barrel. Sure, I could get away with stocking my cabinet with a few of their classy yet affordable wine glasses, but as far as furniture goes, the big-ticket items are just a smidge out of reach. That doesn’t stop me from looking, though. After all, it’s always good to get inspo and then see if you can replicate a certain look for less. Take Crate & Barrel’s Delancey leather sofa, for example. Made of soft nubuck leather and boasting clean lines, this small-space-friendly couch will elevate any living room, but it’ll also cost you a pretty penny.
After a bit of digging, however, we found a comparable model at Wayfair. Although the Minimore modern style sofa isn’t made of leather, it sports a similar silhouette to the Delancey, and it’s currently on sale for under $400!

What is the Minimore Modern Style Sofa?
At just under 85″ wide, Wayfair’s sofa is totally small-space-friendly but still offers substantial seating. Shoppers note that its seats are firm, so we wouldn’t necessarily classify it as a “nappable” sofa. Rather, it’s good for everyday use or for adding some extra seating to a spare room or office. Upholstered in fabric instead of leather, the Minimore is available in 21 upholstery colors, most of which are neutral. You’ll also be happy to learn that the sofa weighs only 80.5 lbs! This makes it a solid pick for frequent movers, who will have no trouble lifting and transporting the couch, even in and out of walk-ups.
Delancey Leather Sofa
As we noted, the Minimore bears a striking resemblance to Crate & Barrel’s Delancey sofa, mainly in terms of the silhouette and slim black metal legs. You can even get it in a rich brown color that mirrors the Delancey’s caramel hue. It goes without saying that the Wayfair couch likely isn’t as great of quality as the Delancey, but its $390 price tag certainly beats shelling out $3,000 for a couch if you’re not in a financial place to do so.
