After seven years of marriage, Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello have announced that they are getting divorced. In a statement to Page Six, the former couple said, “We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”

Days before the news broke, the Magic Mike star celebrated Vergara's 51st birthday with a tribute on Instagram. Alongside the post, which included a snapshot of the two of them, Manganiello simply wrote, "¡¡¡Feliz Cumpleaños Sofía!!!"

The filmmaker once described Vergara as "the woman of my dreams," and in 2017 told Mario Lopez and his daughter Gia, “I actually got married to my celebrity crush, my wife Sofía."
