This is the Right Way to Remove Eye Makeup
Determining how to remove eye makeup can be dependent on both your skin type and the variety of makeup you’re using. You won’t be want for options when perusing the skincare aisle. Between the wipes, micellar waters, oils, and foaming cleansers, there’s something for everyone.
Start by determining the best type of cleanser—a few of our favorite options are below. If you’re using a liquid eye makeup remover or micellar water, soak a cotton pad in the solution. Gently swipe the pad from the interior corner of the eye outward. Repeat until makeup is removed from the lid. To remove mascara and remaining eyeliner, apply eye makeup remover to a fresh cotton pad. Hold on the lash line for a few seconds before gently wiping down. Repeat until all your mascara has been removed.
For butter or balm cleansers, apply directly to the eye area. Gently wipe away with a warm damp cloth—but make sure it’s nice and soft.
A few things to note before we send you on your eyelid-cleansing way. Don’t forget about your brows but, once again, be gentle. Just as you don’t want to lose any of those lashes, your brows can be equally as sensitive. Use your cleanser and swipe from the interior of your brow outward.

Our final tip is to wait to wash your face until all your eye makeup has been removed. There might be a bit of residue left behind from your eye makeup cleanser so it’s best to save this for last to ensure squeaky clean results.
