There’s a way to go back and see all the TikTok videos you’ve ever watched: ‘Excuse me there’s a watch history?’

TikTok is full of helpful technology hacks, such as how to improve microphone quality on an iPhone, properly use the notes tool and even utilize a mobile payment app to identify an unknown text sender.

While not everyone may want to revisit the many, many TikTok videos they have watched in the past, media personality and storyteller Ginella Massa (@itsginellamassa) explains that it is possible to access a “watch history” on one’s TikTok account. The watch history, says Massa, contains all the TikTok videos someone has viewed, whether or not they “liked” or saved them.

“It’s slightly jarring to see how much you’ve watched just scrolling on TikTok,” Massa warns.

To get to a watch history on TikTok, Massa details the following steps:

  1. First, go to your profile page and click the three lines on the top right-hand side.

  2. Go into “settings and privacy.”

  3. Next, click on “activity center.”

  4. Once inside your activity center, click the option for watch history.

“And there’s all your videos,” Massa summarizes.

“Lol…. I’m scarred to know how many I watched,” commented @houseofunitednations.

Fears aside, some found accessing the watch history could be helpful.

“Omgg now I know where to go when I accidentally reload the page before liking it,” noted @princessandthepea_.

Adam (@flashpointgems) shares a similar tutorial on accessing watch history, pointing out that the tool can be helpful if you were trying to watch a video that accidentally got lost when the page refreshed.

He also describes how to permanently delete your watch history and how that can affect your TikTok viewing experience.

Many commenters claimed that TikTok frequently changes where users can access the watch history, so typing a period in the search bar can also yield the same results.

“Another way to check it go to the search Bar and type . Then it should be there on the top”! wrote @the_little_snake135.

“Or you could just search ‘.’ if you’re too lazy,” added @rororo0o0.

“IT WORKED,” marveled @dailylifenita.

Other commenters expressed their gratitude for what they perceived as such a helpful hack.

“Me aloof of, ‘Here’s how to not burn down your house’ but ‘how to rewatch TikTok videos’ amazed me”!!! admitted @davids_reef.

“Priorities,” responded Massa.
