Water Lantern Festival: Enjoy live music, food vendors, make your own lanterns

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Water Lantern Festival will be coming to the Baton Rouge area for the first time on Saturday, Aug. 3.

“This will be our first year coming to Baton Rouge, however, we had our first event in Louisiana in New Orleans last year,” said Ben Gonzalez with the Water Lantern Festival.

Gates to the event will be opening at 5 p.m. and from 5-9 p.m., attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy food from a variety of food trucks that are stationed throughout the event, live music and fun.

From there, attendees will get the chance to design their own lanterns at 7:30 p.m. before the lantern launch takes place from 8-9 p.m.
