Are You Watching ‘Run’ on HBO? If You’re a Fan of ‘Fleabag’ & Phoebe Waller-Bridge, You Should Be

1. What is Run About?

Written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) and Vicky Jones (Killing Eve), the half-hour comedy-thriller series follows a woman whose average life is thrown upside down when she receives a text from her college sweetheart inviting her to drop everything and fulfill the pact they made 17 years earlier.

2. When did Run premiere?

Run premiered on HBO April 12 (last Sunday) at 10:30 p.m. EST with new episodes airing every Sunday night. The comedy is also available on HBO Now, HBO Go and HBO On Demand.

3. Who’s in it?

Merritt Wever (Unbreakable) and Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina) star as former flames Ruby and Billy, who made a pact to run away together when one texts the other "RUN" (hence the name). Waller-Bridge has a recurring role in the series as Laurel, a woman Billy and Ruby are introduced to. Other guest stars include Rich Sommer (Mad Men), Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife) and Tamara Podemski (Coroner).

4. Is it worth the watch?

Definitely, especially if you enjoyed watching Fleabag. And since Waller-Bridge and Jones both worked together on that hit show as well as Killing Eve, we can only expect big things.

5. Will there be a Run season 2?

Unfortunately, HBO hasn’t announced any details about another season. However, even though Run only premiered a few days ago, it has received a ton of buzz, so we wouldn’t be surprised if HBO does renew the show.
