Watch Willow Smith Shave Her Head In the Name of Art

We all know that Willow Smith can rock practically any look and, now, that includes a shaved head.

Over the past weekend, Willow spent 24 hours trapped inside a box at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Geffen Contemporary in Los Angeles as part of a performance art stunt she carried out with her collaborator and boyfriend, Tyler Cole. The somewhat stress-inducing situation was set on purpose to promote their latest album — the two of them make up the band The Anxiety. The project saw the pair exploring the eight different phases of anxiety. And during one of those, things took a turn we never expected — Tyler shaved Willow's head and recorded for all of us to see.

The duo later posted the video to Instagram, captioning it, "I’m going to need some time to process that experience before I really say anything but I will say thank you so much to everyone who came out to MOCA and watched the live stream. I am truly overwhelmed. There is a lot going on in the world and I think THE ANXIETY reflects how a lot of us feel right now. So hopefully this music and the art we are creating can help you in any way even if it’s just a quick distraction from all of this chaos. @theanxiety debut album out now."

The 24-hour box stunt (and shaving of Willow's head) clearly worked as fans flooded the comments with love for the album and the musicians. "Y’all are my absolute favorite. Soul tribe vibes for sure, that was the punkest thing anyone could’ve done, proud of y’all for leading the youth in such [an] artful manner," commented one fan while another said, "Crazy beautiful experience to see this." And, well, they aren’t wrong!
