Watch: Why Ryan Sheckler Turns Down Deals All The Time, Growing Up With Haters, Olympic Talk And More

Ryan Sheckler has had one helluva skateboarding career at this point and with a new video part and documentary premiering this week, he sat down with The Nine Club guys to talk about... well, everything.

From the physical (and mental) battle it took to get his latest ender to growing up in the limelight, the MTV days, his infamous "double pits to chesty" Axe deodorant commercial and so much more, as always, they dive deep.

Love him or hate him, but Ryan Sheckler has accomplished so much on his board (and given a ton to skateboarding over the decades) that it's almost unfair we always only seem to remember the arguably less important moments of his upbringing.

He's turned down deals, he's battled heavy tricks and he's made a respectful life for himself all from riding his board. And he's still charging full speed.

Haters beware—living well is the best revenge.

It's was exciting to see Ryan back in SLS and rad to know he's working with Woodward Skate Camp. He touches on the Olympics as well, and in all honesty, if this was twenty years ago and I was watching mini-Sheckler killing it at Tampa Am and in 411 videos, I would've guaranteed we'd be seeing this rising star in the Olympics.

The dude is a professional on and off the board and I've always respected his approach to skating. Take the time to dive into this episode, Shecks makes some great points and maybe you'll see him in a new light.
