While we wait patiently for news about The White Lotus season three, why not rewatch seasons one and two? Each season of HBO's dramedy satire The White Lotus follows an ensemble of deliciously insufferable characters at a different resort location.

Season two takes place in Sicily, Italy, and features a cast including Will Sharpe and Aubrey Plaza, who play married couple Harper and Ethan Spiller, alongside Meghann Fahy and Theo James, who play another couple who are vacationing alongside them. The impressive sophomore ensemble also includes F. Murray Abraham, Michael Imperioli, Tom Hollander, Adam DiMarco and Haley Lu Richardson. The main returning cast member from season one is Jennifer Coolidge, who won an Emmy for her work in the show, and is nominated again for her season two performance

Season one took home 10 Emmy wins at the 2022 awards, including best supporting actress and best supporting actor in a limited series for Jennifer Coolidge and Murray Bartlett, as well as for writing, directing, and for a win for Best Limited or Anthology Series. In 2023, the show earned 23 Emmy nominations. Given all of that acclaim, it's no surprise that HBO wants more, and creator Mike White has now reconfigured the show into an ongoing anthology series.

Season one was set at a Hawaiian resort, following newlyweds Rachel (Alexandra Daddario) and Shane (Jake Lacy), as well as guests and staff members Armond (Murray Bartlett), Lanny (Jolene Purdy), Tanya ( Jennifer Coolidge), Olivia (Sydney Sweeney), and Nicole (Connie Britton) as they attempt to relax and rejuvenate in paradise—but a darker complexity is lurking underneath the surface.
