What to Watch the Week of February 11: Travis and Taylor at the Super Bowl, Gina Rodriguez's New Rom-Com, and more

Travis and Taylor take Vegas. I mean, really, what else are we supposed to call today's Super Bowl in Sin City? We've all clearly moved on from whether or not she'll actually make it back from Tokyo in time (she should). Instead, we find ourselves debating things like how many times the NFL cameras will cut away to show Taylor, and if she and Travis will give us another PDA session on the field should the Kansas City Chiefs win. Or whether Donna Kelce will watch the big game from the stands or in a suite.

If you're exhausted, I don't blame you.

No, we don't know where Taylor is sitting. Or Donna. Or Ed. Or Jason and Kylie. Or if Scott and Andrea will be there, too. We don't know how often the NFL cameras will show Taylor. Or what she'll be wearing. Or if she'll be on the field. Forget the days of debating which team will win; we've clearly moved way past that. I mean, Vegas is currently betting on whether Travis will propose to Taylor should his Chiefs win back-to-back championships.

And that's why we'll watch. But we do know other things about the game's live entertainment, including the fact that Usher will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show. And that country music hall of famer Reba McEntire will sing the national anthem, while hip-hop-rock artist Post Malone will perform “America the Beautiful.” And Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, Andra Day, will sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” Plus, we're hearing there might be some surprise guests during Usher's halftime show, so check out who those A-listers might be, here.

We also know half the Super Bowl commercials already, like Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer reuniting for an Uber Eats ad. And Quinta Brunson talking finances for Turbo Tax. And that CBS will use the opportunity to preview a lot of their returning shows this week (Young Sheldon, Ghosts, Blue Bloods, etc.). Speaking of Young Sheldon, if you've caught up on the show thanks to Netflix (where it's consistently been in the top 10), there's an entire chapter about the series in The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story of the Epic Series, available now with new photos in paperback.

But if you aren't into the Super Bowl, then the Puppy Bowl will be there for you, with more puppies than ever. Plus, Curb Your Enthusiasm will air another new episode, as well as True Detective (which actually has already dropped a new episode so it wouldn't clash with the Super Bowl).

Puppy Bowl (Animal Planet): This year's event will be the biggest yet, featuring 131 puppies, 73 shelters and rescues across 36 states and territories, including the all-time smallest pup, Sweetpea, at 1.7 lbs and the biggest, Levi the Great Dane at 70 lbs. It's Team Ruff vs. Team Fluff as they pursue the Lombarky trophy. 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. CT/11 a.m. PT

Super Bowl LVIII (CBS/Paramount+): Las Vegas celebrates its first Super Bowl as Allegiant Stadium welcomes the Chiefs, the 49ers, and Swifties. All day

Tracker (CBS/Paramount+): Immediately following the Lombardi trophy presentation is Tracker, the new series starring Justin Hartley (This Is Us) and based on the best-selling novel The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver. Hartley stars as Colter Shaw, a lone-wolf survivalist who roams the country as a reward seeker, using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while contending with his own fractured family. Per the press release, in the premiere episode, Colter’s handlers, Velma (Abby McEnany) and Teddi (Robin Weigert) Bruin, send him to Klamath Falls, Ore., to investigate the disappearance of 14-year-old Gil Brown who is suspected to have been taken by his birth dad with a criminal background. While pursuing a lead at a local burger joint based on intel from tech genius Bobby Exley (Eric Graise), Colter finds himself in some trouble of his own requiring help from legal mind Reenie Greene (Fiona Rene).

Says Justin Hartley: “I’m really, really proud of this show that we put together. This Is Us was a special time in my life, [and] I feel like somehow, I was able to get a second shot at it [with Tracker]. I think we have something really special. You will be entertained. It’s a fun one.”

The Neighborhood (CBS/Paramount+): In the sixth season premiere—titled "Welcome to the Foos Box”—Gemma and Dave can't believe Grover is finally a teenager, while Marty and Calvin struggle with their opposite management styles. Speaking of Marty, we meet Courtney, one of his new employees who might become something more. 8 p.m. ET/PT, 7 p.m. CT

Bob Hearts Abishola (CBS/Paramount+): In the fifth season premiere—titled “Kill the Cat”—Absihola finds out Dele canceled his plans to go to Harvard without telling her. Oy. 8:30 p.m. ET/PT, 7:30 p.m. CT

The Space Race (Nat Geo): Directors Lisa Cortés and Diego Hurtado de Mendoza address the racial injustice within NASA across several decades in this meaningful film. Per Nat Geo, “it weaves together the stories of Black astronauts seeking to break the bonds of social injustice to reach for the stars, including Guion Bluford, Ed Dwight and Charles Bolden among many others.” 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT and streaming on Hulu and Disney+ the next day

Abbott Elementary (ABC): The second episode in season three is titled “Gregory's Garden Goofballs.” Here's the logline: Gregory is hesitant when kids start hanging out in his classroom at lunch, looking to him for advice as the “cool teacher.” Barbara is shocked to find Tariq is dating the mother of one of her students. Players (Netflix): In this Valentine's Day rom-com, New York sportswriter Mack (played by Gina Rodriguez) has spent years devising successful hook-up “plays” with best friend Adam (Damon Wayans Jr.) and their friends. But when Mack unexpectedly falls for her latest target, charming war correspondent Nick (Tom Ellis), she begins to rethink the game entirely. Madame Web (Sony): Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney star in the standalone origin story of one of Marvel's most enigmatic heroines. Johnson plays Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who develops the power to see the future. She develops a friendship with three young women bound for powerful destinies, but first they have to survive what's in front of them. In theaters

Bob Marley: One Love (Paramount Pictures): The film—which Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated in Jamaica last month—celebrates the life and music of Bob Marley. Produced in partnership with the Marley family, the film stars Kingsley Ben-Adir (Barbie) as the legendary musician and Lashana Lynch as his wife, Rita. Thursday, February 15

Young Sheldon (CBS/Paramount+): The seventh and final season premiere airs tonight and is titled “Half a Wiener Schnitzel and Underwear in a Tree.” (I'll let you take your guesses about what happens). What we do know is that the Cooper family deals with the devastating fallout from the tornado that ripped through town, prompting Missy to take charge, and Mary wanting to come home. 8 p.m. ET/PT, 7 p.m. CT

Ghosts (CBS/Paramount+): The third season premieres tonight. In “The Owl,” Sam, Jay and the remaining ghosts try to determine which ghost passed into the afterlife. Meanwhile, in case you're wondering why the episode is called what it is, it's because Sam and Jay must relocate an owl in order to do construction on the barn to turn it into Jay’s restaurant. Mystery solved! 8:30 p.m. ET/PT, 7:30 p.m CT

So Help Me Todd (CBS/Paramount+): Lisa Rinna guest stars in the second season premiere. Titled “Iceland Was Horrible,” Margaret and Todd tackle a case involving a murder on live local morning news (Rinna plays an anchor on the morning news show) and must rethink their professional relationship after Todd decides to open his own PI business. 9 p.m. ET/PT, 8 p.m. CT

The Truth About Jim (Max): In this four-part documentary series from Investigation Discovery, amateur investigator Sierra Barter confronts a traumatic past that has plagued her family for generations. The mystery? Was Jim Mordecai—husband, stepfather, and step-grandfather—actually a notorious serial killer? I mean, I certainly hope not, but there probably wouldn't be a docuseries if that wasn't the case. Streaming

Friday, February 16

Blue Bloods (CBS/Paramount+): The celebrated procedural enters its 14th and final season tonight. The good news, however, is that it will be split into two parts, with the second half premiering this fall. (So don't let the tears start falling yet!) In tonight's episode, which is actually a two-parter, titled “Loyalty,” Jaime goes undercover with a deadly human trafficking ring, while Danny and Baez investigate a homicide connected to Darryl Reid (Malika Yoba), Danny’s old partner. Also, Frank struggles with whether to publicly support Mayor Chase (Dylan Walsh) on a policy decision and Eddie is determined to teach a young shoplifter a lesson. 10 p.m. ET/PT, 9 p.m. CT

This Is Me…Now: A Love Story (Prime Video): The narrative-driven, visual musical reimagining of J. Lo's love life arrives in the form of this nearly 90-minute film. There's plenty of star-studded cameos, amazing costumes and sets that will delight any J. Lo fan. Streaming

Franklin (Apple TV+): The new Peanuts special, Snoopy Presents: Welcome Home, Franklin, premieres today and focuses on Franklin as he moves to a new city and navigates new friendships. Streaming

Saturday, February 17

An American in Austen (Hallmark Channel): The third film in Hallmark's “Loveuary with Jane Austen” programming continues tonight with An American in Austen, starring Eliza Bennett, Nicholas Bishop, and Nell Barlow. In the original movie, a librarian gets an unexpected chance to find out if any man can live up to Mr. Darcy. 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT
