Watch: Is Usman Trioko the Most Barreled Man in Indonesia?

For as crowded as it is these days, Lombok's Desert Point is still a raw, rough, and relatively untouched stretch of paradise in Indonesia. No hotels. No spas. No fancy dining. Just a series of beachfront warungs and very rustic homestays, most without power or running water.

It's also Drifter Surf ambassador Usman Trioko's home.

Born on the beach at Lombok's crown jewel — which also happens to be one of the world's best lefthand barrels — Trioko, or "Uzi" as he's called, was literally raised in the tube. At a wave where 30-second tubes are the norm on a pumping day, Uzi's logged months of tube time since he first started surfing at 8-years-old.

"A jungle boy at heart and a true waterman, Usman will get the wave of the day and then grab the spear gun and catch dinner in a matter of minutes," writes Drifter in the description alongside this short profile. "You'll rarely find Usman sunburnt because he spends so much time under the lip. Born and raised in Desert Point, the Lombok local has spent more time threading blue water barrels, and with a bigger smile, than most other people on Earth."
