For actress Tori Spelling, this time of year brings some of her favorite traditions: dressing up in matching pajamas for family photos, silly holiday sweaters and baking with kiddos. But sometimes putting together the perfect Christmas cookie platter can be stressful, so she likes to leave the hard parts to the experts so that she and daughter Stella can get straight to the best part: the decorating.
Using just a few candies, sprinkles and some melted chocolate, Spelling shows off how to turn the tastiest store-bought treats into cool Christmas creations through a fun family activity.

First up is a cookie that Spelling says is her all-time favorite: Milanos. With just a few ingredients, Spelling transforms Milano cookies into reindeer with adorable red candy noses. Next is a Nutter Butter cookie that she uses dipping chocolate and sprinkles to mimick Santa's iconic beard and hat. Lastly, a fully chocolate dipped oreo is decorated with colorful candies and a mini reese's cup to look like a festive tree ornament.

TORI SPELLING: Hi, you guys. Tori Spelling here. This is my favorite time of the year to spend baking and decorating with my kiddos. We are going to create three store bought cookies that we have transitioned into holiday DIY cookies.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

The first one I'm going to make, I bought one of my favorite cookies, Milano cookies, into a cute little reindeer.

So I'm going to take my Milano cookie. I'm going to do a dollop of white chocolate. This is just simply acting like your glue. White M&M's, second eyeball. I'm going to take another dollop of white chocolate. Put it in the center of the eye ball.

And mini, mini chocolate chip, and an eye ball. Another dollop. Red Hots for the nose. We melted some chocolate, so now I'm going to do the antlers. Simple as that. Now remember, [INAUDIBLE] reindeer, don't forget. Are you ready to make a Nutter Butter Santa? I am. Look how cute.

I have again my white dipping chocolate. I'm going to take my Nutter Butter. I'm just going to dunk, dunk, dunk. There's Santa's beard. And then you're going to go on the other side to dip his hat. I have red sprinkles. I'm going to put that all over the top where I made this little hat.

White chocolate right where his eyes would be. Two little mini chocolate chips is his eyes. Oh, Santa Claus, you're so handsome. Right above his beard, you're going to do his nose. Take a Red Hot. There's Santa, full stocking. Super easy, right? That's what I'm saying. The kids will love making these.

Who doesn't love an Oreo cookie. We're going to make an ornament cookie. Oreo cookie, white dipping chocolate. Fully submerge your cookie. You're going to take out your cookies, and you're going to need to let these dry. Here it is completely dry. I have a white chocolate Oreo dipped cookie, yummy.

Now you're going to take your bag and you're going to start your drizzle to make your ornament line. And then I'm just going to go and take the little candied ornaments and hang them from their ornaments string. So now I'm go back to my white chocolate that I used as my glue. I'll put it right here on the top.

Then I'm going to put mini Reese's peanut butter cups. Tada. A little ornament. My three cookies perfectly made. [INAUDIBLE] here. She always helps me out, she's my baker, and I love you. Thank you for making these with me.

STELLA MCDERMOTT: They're so cute.

TORI SPELLING: Happy holidays from our home to yours.
