This college football season, all eyes are on the Texas Longhorns. After beating the University of Alabama, they're ranked in the top 5. They landed the highest profile recruit in Arch Manning, and their Minister of Culture is none other than Matthew McConaughey, so the future is looking bright.

If you're a fan of the University of Texas, then you're probably already aware of the Longhorn Network and are eager to tune in for all the big games and commentary the channel offers. UT teamed up with ESPN to create their own channel, which covers all UT sports, weekly coaches' shows, live press conferences, pre- and postgame commentary with Texas GameDay, plus highlights academic and campus activities. The channel is available all over the country, not just Texas.

There are several cable providers that offer the Longhorn Network for no additional charge in their channel lineup. The providers include: AT&T U-Verse, Bay City/Texas Mid-Gulf, Cable One, CenturyLink Stream, Charter, Cox, Consolidated, DIRECTV, DIRECTV NOW, DISH, Entouch, Etex, Grande Communications, GoogleFiber, Layer3 TV, Mid-Coast Cablevision, Suddenlink, Sony PlayStation Vue, and Verizon FiOS. Unfortunately, if your cable provider isn't listed, there is no way to pay for access to the channel.

If you don't have cable, your best bet for watching the Longhorn Network is with Sling TV or a streaming platform that includes cable access like Hulu +live TV, DIRECTV Stream, Disney + with ESPN bundle, or fubo TV. The channel is also available to stream through the ESPN App and WatchESPN for AppleTV and Roku, but both options require a video subscription through your TV provider to access.

As the channel continues to draw in more viewers as the UT football season ramps up, hopefully more cable providers and streamers will pick up the channel. Until then UT recommends that fans call their provider to urge them to include the channel in their offering.
