Stars on Mars, the new Fox series in which celebrities of varying levels of fame compete to survive on a simulated version of the Red Planet, kicked off last week. Ariel Winter mistook fellow contestant Lance Armstrong for actual astronaut Neil Armstrong (who died in 2012); Adam Rippon was spared elimination for being hot; and Marshawn Lynch, as first-base commander, rightfully hogged his private toilet. The show is as bizarre—and incredible—as it sounds.

Ahead of this week's episode, which airs June 12 at 8 p.m. ET., we got our hands on two clips: The first is from host William Shatner (a.k.a. Shatty Daddy), who's beamed in from Mission Control to recap last week's elimination of Christopher Mintz-Plasse and set up this week's crisis, which is that the celebrities are out of water (of course they are).

"Let's see how our 11 remaining stars handle the resupply mission," he says.

The second clip, a teaser of the episode, gives a glimpse at how the group fares.

"I can’t really believe I’m on Mars doing missions," Winter says. "This whole experience isn’t something you get every day.” (Note: The celebrities are not actually on Mars.)

As base commander, Tallulah Willis, daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, instructs the team to "rappel down a cliff, extract water from the roof of the cave system and then pump it up to the surface." Sounds hard!
