Reba McEntire honored former president George H.W. Bush with a moving performance of “The Lord’s Prayer" on Thursday.

According to ABC News, about 1,200 guests arrived in Houston at the St. Martin’s Episcopal Church to remember the late president, who died on November 30 at 94 years old. The outlet reported that Reba is one of the country singers Bush “came to love.” The Oak Ridge Boys also joined, and performed “Amazing Grace.”

As Reba began her song, it appeared she was holding back tears. But the video of the moment captured on ABC News’s Facebook shows that she bravely continued on with her tribute to the 41st president.

Many friends and family members also spoke at the service, including an emotional eulogy by longtime friend James Baker, who was his secretary of state. Baker spoke of Bush’s humbleness humility, and sense of humor.

Former President George W. Bush described his father as “a great and noble man, and the best father a son or daughter could have.” The publication reported that the 43rd president then choked up, adding, “And in our grief, let us smile knowing that Dad is hugging Robin and holding Mom’s hand again.” (George H.W. Bush’s wife, Barbara, died in April 2018, and their daughter, Robin, died at the age of 3 from leukemia.)

According to The New York Times, following the funeral, Bush’s coffin will travel by train from the Houston area to College Station, Texas. This will be the first presidential funeral train in nearly 50 years, and the locomotive is designed to look like Air Force One.

After the roughly two-and-a-half hour ride, he’ll be buried at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum next to Barbara and Robin.
