Watch a real lion meet a baby dressed in a lion costume, and feel all the feels
If you take an adorable baby to the zoo in a lion costume, it turns out kind strangers aren’t the only ones who will go gaga for the cute little one. Actual lions might want to cuddle him, too.
It was a normal day at the zoo for 11-month-old Aryeh and his godparents, who brought the boy to the zoo dressed as the cutest lion to ever walk this green earth.
That is, it was a normal day until they reached the lion enclosure, and Aryeh came face to face (through thick glass, of course) with lions of the real-life variety.
“The lions were immediately interested in our little lion cub, and it wasn’t long before they couldn’t stand their curiosity any longer and came right up to the glass,” Aryeh’s godfather wrote on News Flare. “Aryeh was completely unfazed and interacted with the lions for a few minutes!”
The lions look like they’re ready to adopt baby Aryeh (which, funny enough, means Lion in Hebrew) and tried to paw through the glass to meet him.
Aryeh’s godmother called the experience “unreal,” and we couldn’t agree more.
