Step aside, Super Bowl LVII. We're gearing up for the *real* big game of the day: Puppy Bowl XIX!

That's right, dog lovers. The annual Puppy Bowl is returning for its 19th year on Animal Planet, and we're so excited for the adorable battle between Team Ruff and Team Fluff—and to find out who will win the famous "Lombarky" trophy!

Watching adorable puppies run around "playing" football for hours might be even more fun than all those hilarious Super Bowl commercials. But the best part about the Puppy Bowl is that it's for a good cause. This year, there will be 122 puppies playing, and all of them will be available for adoption. According to the official Puppy Bowl website, "The puppies come from 67 shelters and rescues across 34 states—and for the first-time will feature a Native American animal organization and a puppy player from Dominica, West Indies."

You can catch all of your favorite parts of the Puppy Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 12 before the Super Bowl kicks off later that night. That includes funny slow motion replays, the water bowl cam, and the Kitty Half-Time Show!

How can I watch the Puppy Bowl?

You can tune into the Puppy Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 2:00 p.m. ET on Animal Planet. For even more puppy coverage, turn on the pre-game show at 1 p.m. If you have Discovery+, you can also stream the game there. Who will host the Puppy Bowl this year?

There's no word yet on who will host this year's event, but we have a feeling we won't be disappointed. Remember when the iconic duo of Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg hosted last year?!

We can expect Puppy Bowl referee Dan Schachner to return, marking his 12th year on the job. Sportscasters Steve Levy and Taylor Rooks will also be there to provide some much-needed Puppy Bowl commentary.
