From Town & Country

We've always known that the Duchess of Sussex was a great multitasker-even before joining the royal family she managed to work full-time as an actress on Suits, travel, and her blog, The Tig. While those other pursuits may have fallen by the wayside since she agreed to marry Prince Harry, Meghan has hardly been sitting back and relaxing.

In addition to the public appearances and social events that go along with being a working royal it seems she has also found time to volunteer for the Hubb Community Kitchen in London, a charitable effort to provide a place where the victims of the Grenfell Tower Fires could prepare fresh foods. Meghan even wrote the foreward to the organization's new cookbook, Together, which will raise money for the charity.

The debut of the book earlier today marked the launch of Meghan's first solo project as a member of the royal family, and while it's hardly a surprise that the Duchess handled her hosting duties with grace and aplomb, one of the most unexpectedly charming moments of the day actually came courtesy of Harry.

As part of the event, Meghan gave a short speech on the importance of Hubb's work and how they made her feel welcome after moving to London. During her remarks, Prince Harry looked on from the sidelines along with Meghan's mother Doria, his face aglow with pride for his wife.

“Working on this project for the past nine months has been a tremendous labor of love,” she said. “I just recently moved to London and I felt so immediately embraced by this kitchen - your warmth and kindness, and also to be able to be in this city and to see in this one small room how multicultural it was.”

Harry grinned and applauded at various points throughout her 3 minute talk, looking positively love-struck as Meghan spoke about feeling, "so proud to live in this city," and the power of food to bring people together.

"When we get to know the story of the recipe, you get to know the person behind it," Meghan said of the cookbook. "That’s what we’re talking about in terms of coming together to really engage and talk and to be able to celebrate what connects us rather than what divides us. That, I believe, is the ethos of Together."

Harry, hands clasped, beaming with obvious affection and delight at his bride's achievements, really brought that feeling of family and connection together at the event. Toward the end of the event, he even stepped in to help keep Meghan's ever-flawless hair in place, smoothing it down for her as the group had stepped outside into the windy English weather.

If sweet displays like this are what Meghan's solo ventures as a royal have in store for us, we can't wait to see her next project.
