The duo performed an emotional duet of a rock hit song at the CMT Awards.

Wynonna Judd took the stage at the CMT Awards to perform a song with Ashley McBryde, a year after she performed "Love Can Build A Bridge" with her late mother, Naomi Judd, on the same stage.

The two women surprised the audience with a cover of Foreigner's hit song, "I Want to Know What Love Is," which was originally released in 1984.

CMT shared a video of the iconic performance on Instagram, adding in the caption, "I gotta take a little time to recover from @wynonnajudd and @ashleymcbryde’s beautiful #CMTAwards performance of 'I Want To Know What Love Is' 💜."

Near the end of the performance Wynonna emotionally looked up and said, “Mama, you should be here tonight. I miss you. And I love you." Naomi passed away at the end of April 2022.

Fans were extremely moved by the performance, sharing their reactions on Twitter.

One fan wrote, "I’ll forever love watching @Wynonna Judd perform. She’s such a powerhouse #CMTAwards," and the official CBS account responded, "Truly a force to be reckoned with!"

"When Wynonna Judd said 'mama you should be here' I felt that GIVE THE GOAT all the awards NOW #CMTAwards," wrote another viewer.

An earnest comment read, "Wynonna just gave one outstanding performance with Ashly McBride [sic]. There’s just no one out there like Wynonna. You know her mom was smiling down on her tonight. We love you Wynonna.#CMTMusicAwards."

Wynonna and her mother were a part of the musical duo The Judds, and the 58-year-old honored her late mother with a final tour under The Judds name, featuring special guests like Brandi Carlile, McBryde, Little Big Town, Kelsea Ballerini, and more.

The tour finished at the end of February, and Wynonna marked the accomplishment by sharing a meaningful post on social media that began with, "It's done, Mama. ❤️."

Wynonna continues to write music on her own, including a new song called "Broken and Blessed," which she revealed to Entertainment Weekly is about her struggles after Naomi's passing.
